We haven’t had a ton of sunshine or warm days to make tackling outdoor work the priority. But Spring is finally here. I was able to take these shots without snowshoes, for one thing.
You can see the rounded skirt board detail on the deck, and the cedar handrails and posts. When that structure is complete, the cable railing will be installed. When that is complete, the LED lighting gets mounted under the handrails. Stairs to the entry and back deck can’t happen until things are dry enough to work finish grade. I am very excited for that phase, as Andy will establish the stone steps to the brook, as well as the path across the grade for a gentler amble down.
The basement walk-out exterior will be finished in clapboards and another Marvin divided light patio door will be installed to complete the look and let still more light into the basement.
As I look through these photos I note that some magic is missing- the sounds of the brook. I will just have to take and upload a video clip. The water is flowing and the white noise is lovely.
And isn’t the chimney all I said it would be? Nicely done Mike Eramo and crew.
This design is steller! You certainly know how to keep a reader entertained.
Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent
job. I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how
you presented it. Too cool!
Can’t wait to see it live! Would like it for myself!
